KTUU: Obama frustrated with lack of progress on Alaska gas line

NBC affiliate KTUU reported from a luncheon in which U.S. Senator Begich spoke about President Barack Obama's administration and its frustration at the lack of progress on the Alaska natural gas pipeline project. Instead of treating it as a state project, Begich wants Obama to elevate the line to the national energy agenda.

"We're just frustrated that Alaska has not moved forward with regard to the gas line -- it's an important part of our national energy policy," Begich said. "The president has clearly indicated it's one of the top five projects he wants to move forward on."
