Alliance Data Employees in Lenexa, Kansas Make a Difference with 'Project Picnic'

Sixty-five company employees spend the day building picnic tables to benefit local Heartland Habitat for Humanity

LENEXA, KS—Alliance Data recently partnered with Heartland Habitat for Humanity to host its first 'Project Picnic,' where 65 of the company’s local employees teamed up to build 10 picnic tables to help their local Habitat branch raise funds.

Throughout the day, shifts of employees worked in Alliance Data's front parking lot to build the tables, despite dark clouds and the occasional rain drop.

"Our goal was to create a project that our employees could do on-site to build even greater excitement and support around our community activities," said Erick Carter, vice president of credit operations at Alliance Data in Lenexa. "Habitat for Humanity has been a great partner, and we're excited to be able to support them through the building of these picnic tables."

The picnic tables will be sold for $100 each at Heartland Habitat ReStore resale outlets in Overland Park and Kansas City, Kan., to help support Habitat throughout the year.
