Author of Racial Profiling Law Seeks to Further Turn Back the Clock by Amending Constitution

"Russell Pearce, the author of a law that Cardinal Mahoney refered to as "nazi-like" is moving forward in yet another initiative that is sure to embroil Arizona in even more lawsuits and further make its name synonymous with the modern day McCarthys and Bull Connors. We should have already learned from history that scapegoating those lowest among us is no solution of the country's larger problems. What we need is real solutions that respect our dignity and diversity and that provide employment, quality education, and lift the standards for all of us."
