Two games were played in the first of four weekends of playoffs to determine the 2010 State Champion in the 17 team Arizona Football League. The first round had a mix of teams from all over Arizona. The Casa Grande Wolfpack (6-5) came to town to play the Phoenix Raiders (5-6)in the first game while the Bisbee Ironmen traveled from the Southeastern edge of the State to play the Paradise Valley Crusaders.

Both games were played at Apache Junction High School home of the 4A-1 Desert Sky Prospectors of the AIA Arizona Interscholastic Athletic Association.

The Casa Grande Wolfpack in white jerseys were the home team in their game versus the Phoenix Raiders wearing their black jerseys. The Wolfpack played in the 2009 State Championship game and were the youngest team in AzFL history to become State Runner-ups.

The Phoenix Raiders returned to the playoffs after a two year absence. Both teams featured scoring threats at their skill positions and the game had many exciting plays.

The evening game was an exciting matchup between the Paradise Valley Crusaders in red jerseys (6-5) and the home team Bisbee Ironmen in white jerseys (5-6) that was not settled until the game clock expired as Bisbee was attempting to score from inside the Paradise Valley 10 yard line.
