Then there were 2, yes it is the Big Dance, For All the Marbles, The Huge Enchilada, the one to settle it all.It is the greatest game in Arizona; the AzFL Arizona Football League’s 16th State Championship game. I am Standing Pat and here is the way I see it for this the two top teams in the State. Let just get onto it because it is Friday and I want to go home already.

# 1 Monsoon vs. # 7 Wolf Pack

All year long the Monsoon has made it look very easy at times. They have a great bunch of guys and a good coaching staff that has out a very quality product on the field. This might be one of the most complete teams I have ever seen in the AzFL and they do everything well. On Offence they have a good 50/50 game and do it with one heck of an O-line. On Defense they fly to the ball and wreak havoc everywhere. They have the best Special team’s period. And this is a Coaching Staff that all year seems to hold this team back only so they don’t explode all over the place. How can you argue with 12-0?

I have said it all year long that this Wolfpack team has great players and does the little things well and it is because of their Coach Mr. Braybrooks. Remember the bicycle? This guy can coach a set of Green Army Men to victory. Plus I doesn’t hurt to have the hardest hitting team in the land (trust me I know and I didn’t play against the Monsoon so dudes in blue don’t blow up my Facebook). Like the Monsoon they do everything well and they are big also, very big.

Prediction: I see it going either way in this one. Yes both Defenses can shut down the others offence and as we found out speed beats size but it is going to come down to two things. If the Wolf Pack is going to win they need to stop KC Collins. It is that simple, or is it? No one else has been able to. For the Monsoon to win they need to eliminate the mistakes. They need to not turn the ball over AT ALL. The Pack will win if they Monsoon lose the turnover battle.

Offensive Edge: Monsoon
They have the speed advantage.

Defensive Edge: Wolf Pack
They are big, fast and can flat out hit.

Special Teams: Monsoon
KC is in my option the best player in the AzFL and maybe the state (sorry Sun Devils) also the Monsoon kicker is lights out.

Coaching Staff: Wolf Pack
It is not secrets that I am a HUGE Braybrooks fan. But Shante Carver isn’t so bad either.

Intangibles: Wolf Pack
They were here last year and know what it is like to play in this game. The Monsoon for the most part is new to the Big Dance.
Monsoon 17 Wolf Pack 14

Well kids it has been an honor to write for you this year and as always you humble me. Don’t forget to listen to KXXT 1010 AM Radio in Phoenix or online at http://www.aspnradio.com to hear the game and for some great commentary by all your favorite AzFL personalities. If you are at the game wear your teams favorite colors and look for the camera because there is a BIG SCREEN at this game and you may be on it. Have a great week and I will see you at the games.
