The Arizona Football League, AzFL is proud to announce the addition of the Yavapai Golden Knights for the 2011 season. The AzFL plays Club 11 man tackle football and is entering it's 17th season.
The Yavapai Golden Knights will be owned by Steve and Debby Cordero and Shane Golay. Mr. Golay will also be the Head Coach and Steve Cordero the Assistant Coach.
The team is based in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Players will be from the region, including Prescott, Chino Valley, Bagdad, Mayer and Orme. To find out more call the AzFL at 623-939-4877.
The Golden Knights are a new team and plays amateur football from January thru May. Players 18 and older can join and must have their own pads and helmets. Younger players with a parents permission can also participate.
Included in the players membership are free team photos, free digital video copies of every game and free downloads of the action photos hosted on the league's website.
The Golden Knights are proud to announce that their players will be receive sports medicine care from Prescott Valley Chiropractic and Dr. Julie Schifferli. She and her office are the Official Chiropractor for the Arizona Sundogs a professional hockey team in PV. Their office is located at: 3088 Robert Road Prescott Valley, AZ 86314 (928) 775-0522
The Golden Knights are looking for Partners to help them with the team. One of the goals of both the AzFL and the Golden Knights it to give young players the chance to stay in the game, stay elibible and stay on film. Then the players can work towards re-starting their plans to attend college.
The Arizona Football League is open to players looking to advance to college or the pro's but is also a great place for the recreational athlete to put the pads on once again.
