ARM Announces mbed Robot Racing: Can you win?

SAN JOSE, Calif. – At this year’s ARM® Technology Conference, ARM is challenging participants to test their development and racing skills at the mbed Robot Racing challenge. Competitors will work against the clock to optimize and race mbed-powered robots, controlled over Bluetooth by an Android™ tablet.

There will be three levels of possible participation. Beginners can race the robot around the track using a tablet for control. More advanced developers can use LOGO style commands to predetermine how the robot will drive. For the brave, workstations will be available so developers can write a program for the mbed microcontroller that will enable the robot to follow a line around the center of the track.

Six prizes, based on speed and skill, will be given out at the end of the two days. The top two prize winners will receive an Android tablet, a mbed module and a 3pi robot to take home.

If you’re in the San Jose area and only interested in attending one class, ARM is offering a special free admission – one-class passes are now available for ARM Techcon. Use the promo code “ONE” at registration.

Please visit the ARM Technology Conference webpage for more information about attending.
