The eighth annual Austin City Limits Music Festival was held October 2 – 4 in the newly re-grassed Zilker Park (thanks to Austin-based producers C3 Presents). Unfortunately, festival-goers and Austinites alike didn’t get to enjoy the grass for long. Friday’s beautiful and temperate weather was soon replaced by scattered thunderstorms on Saturday, which quickly turned the fest grounds into a mud pit that had the distinct smell – and feel – of manure on Sunday.
Nevertheless, hardcore music fans donned their ponchos, galoshes, swim suits and bare feet, even, to trek around the park and catch as many shows as the scheduling would allow of over 130 bands across 8 stages. And Roxwel once again scored photography credentials and staked out territory in the media area to bring our viewers coverage from ACL.
