Blinds.com Launches Facebook Contest, “I Need Blinds Bad!," Gives People a Chance to Win $1000 Worth of Blinds

Blinds.com, the leading provider of window blinds on the Internet, launched its first Facebook contest, titled the “I Need Blinds Bad!” contest. Fans of Blinds.com on Facebook and non-fans can enter to win $1,000 worth of Blinds.com blinds and shades by writing a short paragraph about why they need blinds in the first place. Entries include standard fare about broken blinds as well as some rather unusual entries from so-called vampires who need to block light from their homes completely. Submit entries until March 8, 2010.

On March 9, 2010, voting for the best entry begins. Participants can direct their friends and family to their posts and ask them to vote once per day. The essay with the most votes will win $1,000 in Blinds.com-brand products. 2nd place and 3rd place will also be rewarded with a $100 and $50 gift certificate, consecutively.
