Blinds.com earns AMA Houston Marketer of the Year category win, recognized as one of Houston’s top marketers

Blinds.com, the world’s largest provider of window treatments on the Internet, was named the American Marketing Association’s Marketer of the Year (MOTY) in the B to C category. From here, Blinds.com goes on to compete against 39 other category winners for the prize of Houston’s MOTY. Although Blinds.com serves customers world-wide, this small business is Houston-based. It is one of three online retailers currently on Internet Retailer’s list of the top 500 e-commerce companies in the world, ranked at #202.

“We are very proud of our category win, especially in such a challenging year,” said Chief Marketing Officer Daniel Cotlar.

Cotlar also says that one of the company’s core values, “Experimentation without the fear of failure,” gives them the room to be creative and try new things.

“We were very experimental in 2009. We took risks, but we think it paid off,” said Cotlar.

Best of Category winners will be given their awards at a reception and ceremony on March 15, 2010 at the Alley Theater. The announcement of MOTY will follow.
