Blindsgalore Gives Customers a Helping Hand

Customers submit photos of their design dilemma for free custom advice on the Blindsgalore Blog at www.blindsgaloreblog.com

11.03.2009 – Blindsgalore (blindsgalore.com), an online retailer of custom brand-name window treatments, has invited customers to receive personalized design recommendations by submitting photos of their own windows, and getting suggestions about window treatments that best complement their décor. Customers send photos to Blindsgalore through email or Facebook, along with a description of what they’re looking for and any special circumstances they have. The Blindsgalore design team then posts personal suggestions to the company blog (blindsgaloreblog.com) in a segment called “Treatment Transformations,” complete with updated photos to illustrate how the individual customer’s windows would look with new window treatments.

“Everyone is busy decorating their home for the holidays right now, and looking to the internet for better prices. However, consumers still want to make sure they’re buying a quality product that will look good when they receive it,“said Chelle Walters, President of Blindsgalore. “Our design team is working to find the perfect fit that matches each customer’s décor and budget.”

The idea grew out of a recent Facebook contest that the company held, in which people submitted entries describing why they should win $1,000 worth of window treatments plus $1,000 cash. Many contestants remarked over the poor quality of their current window treatments, but couldn’t decide which new treatments they would choose. The contest fostered open discussion about the wide array of options and personal design preferences.

Blindsgalore’s customer base continues to grow along with the company, which seeks to stay connected with consumers using a range of methods including Twitter, Facebook, a blog, live chat assistance and a dedicated customer service call center. With continued web site enhancements, Blindsgalore has positioned itself as an authoritative, top-ranking online destination for the home improvement consumer in search of distinctive yet affordable custom window treatments.
