Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong visited Brandtology North Asian Headquarters on June 05, 2009 during PM Lee’s tour of the Singapore-Hangzhou Science and Technology Park.
“The start of our North Asia Headquarters marks the next milestone of Brandtology’s rapid expansion since the company was established in 2008. This rapid expansion is fueled by the global demand to listen and participate in the conversations found in social media that are written in the local language in these North Asia countries,” said Mr Eddie Chau, Founder and CEO of Brandtology.
“Blogyam, a Seoul-based blog marketing company, in its Blogosphere Insight reported that there are more than 57,000 blogs from the 7 major blog services in Korea with a total of up to 13 million blog posts in 2008 alone (http://www.web20asia.com/364). Edelman, a partner of Brandtology, in its international blogging study highlighted that 74% of the Japanese Internet users read blogs at least once a week (http://www.edelman.jp/data/news/JIBS_e.pdf).
“China alone has about 298 million Internet users of which 91 million users actively participate in forums and 105 million users update their blogs regularly, as reported by the China Internet Network Information Center.
“With the rise of social media in the North Asian region, brands increasingly look towards online media to improve their brand equity.
