Morris Company of Sedona, Arizona was awarded the “2009 Pacesetter Award” by Custom Home Magazine for their exemplary achievements in the area of community service. The Phil W. Morris Company was recognized for their extraordinary contributions in the on-going development and construction of Camp Soaring Eagle. The price to completely construct Camp Soaring Eagle is over $40,000,000 and The Phil W. Morris Company has agreed waive any profit on the entire project, which is approximately a $4,000,000 contribution.
Camp Soaring Eagle, currently under construction in Sedona, Arizona will be a camp for children aged 7 - 17 with chronic and life-threatening conditions. Children who typically cannot participate in customary kid’s activities due to their illness will now have the opportunity to attend camp just like other children. Camp Soaring Eagle is completely free of charge to the campers and their families and has a comprehensive medical facility on-site which can adapt weekly to meet the specific medical needs of the campers. Campers will come from Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada and Utah.

Camp Soaring Eagle is a free of charge camp for children with life threatening or serious illnesses located in Sedona Arizona. Camp Soaring Eagle aspires to be a member of the international Association of Hole in the Wall Camps which was inspired by the late Paul Newman. Camp Soaring Eagle serves children age 7 to 17 and is the only dedicated year round medically based camp in the state of Arizona that can welcome varying illness groups each session.
