Creating and Sponsoring Investment Groups Workshops for Commercial Real Estate Slated for August 2009

Offered by CCIM Institute's Robert L. Ward Center in Orlando and Dallas Area

Highlights: Two offerings are slated for August 2009 for an intensive, day-long advanced course to provide commercial real estate professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to form real estate investment groups. The It's a Whole New Business: Creating and Sponsoring Real Estate Investment Groups workshop is geared for commercial real estate investors and brokers, or anyone interested in investing in commercial real estate.
The workshops, offered by CCIM Institute, will be held:

• August 27 in Orlando, Florida at the Crowne Plaza Orlando Downtown hotel

• August 31 in Addison (Dallas), Texas at the Addison Conference Centre

The curriculum will address these subject areas:
1. Security rules you need to know
2. Entity structures you will use
3. How to draft offering documents
4. Steps to take in creating your group
5. Avoiding the mistakes of other sponsors
6. Investment analysis presentation

There are three reasons to syndicate commercial and investment real estate in today's economy:

1. Attractive investment properties are available.

2. Loans require larger down payments; with a group, you pool equities to raise larger down strokes.

3. Forming an investment group is frequently a way to generate brokerage business.

Investors frustrated with the stock market are looking for asset strategies they can believe in. While the single-family investment game is over, the group investment business presents new opportunities in a new economy.
