08.09.2009 – Nominations are now being accepted for the 2009 edition of The Top 50 Tweeples to Follow on Twitter.
First launched in September 2008, the concept was to develop a resource for new Twitter users, a “people’s choice” of Twitter.
The nomination process takes less than five minutes and requires only the Twitter username (@name) of the person(s) nominated and the appropriate expertise. Users can be nominated in areas of expertise ranging from Technology and Environment to New Media.
Nominations begin: Immediately
Time frame: Now through August 18 at 12 noon CST
HOW TO NOMINATE
There are two ways to nominate an individual:
1. TWEET the following: I nominate (i.e. @twitterID) as a #Top50Tweep in http://bit.ly/41Ezxs (You must submit in this format in order for your nomination to count.)
2. Leave a comment on the original post at PRsarahevans.com in this format: First Name, Last Name, @TwitterID, Expertise* Once you nominate someone, tweet the following: “I just nominated @theirtwitterID as a #Top50Tweep.” (This tweet does not count as a second nomination.)
The Top 50 Tweeples to Follow of 2009 will be announced later in August.
The Rules:
1. Nominate as many people, as many times as you’d like.
2. Nominations which don’t follow the submission guidelines (above) will not be counted.
3. Provide a separate entry for each person you would like to nominate. If you list someone in more than one expertise in a single nomination, that counts as ONE nomination.
4. You can nominate yourself (although that’s not the point).
Expertise Options*:
* Business/Entrepreneur
* Career
* Creative/Design
* Education
* Entertainment
* Environment/Green
* Family
* Fashion
* Food
* Government/Politics
* Humor
* Medical/Health care
* New media/Blog
* PR/Marketing/Advertising
* Technology
* Traditional News/Media
* Travel
* Up and Coming
*If there is an expertise missing, add at time of nomination.
