Comic Book Icon Rob Liefeld Brings Classic Youngblood Miniseries to ComiXology

Digital Edition of Youngblood Available Exclusively on Comics by comiXology iPhone App

Today leading comic book innovation company comiXology announced an exclusive agreement with Image Comics co-founder Rob Liefeld to digitally distribute his classic Youngblood series on Comics by comiXology, the #1 iPhone application for digital comics.

The first Image Comics publication, Youngblood chronicles a high-profile superhero team sanctioned to do the bidding of the US government. comiXology will debut Liefeld's re-mastered edition of Youngblood, featuring re-scripting by popular comics writer and Ben 10 co-creator Joe Casey. The exclusive relationship with Liefeld is indicative of comiXology's commitment to preserving top print comics and maintaining strong ties to independent comic book creators.

??A self-taught artist, Liefeld rose to the top of the comic book industry early in his career and developed a loyal following dating back to his work on Marvel Comics' The New Mutants and the launch of the multi-million selling, X-Force. Liefeld's signature creations, Cable and Deadpool ignited powerful fan reaction inspiring him to launch his own independent franchise Youngblood which debuted to sales of over 1 million copies. Liefeld's 2007 return to Image Comics brought about a fresh Youngblood miniseries and a new-found fan base.
