TULSA, OK – Author Kinda Wilson travels and speaks at events across the country ranging from small conferences to large venues with thousands in the audience. Wilson's audiences respond to her humor and honesty as she shares some of the steps and stumbles along her path (so far!) toward living confidently as a woman secure in her true beauty.
In her wildly popular and interactive talk, "Beauty, Taking It to Heart" she shares an eye-opening perspective on real beauty and self-worth. Perfect for moms and their tween and up daughters to attend together, Wilson's message points out the ways young women and their environments "tattoo" their hearts and minds with false messages about beauty and attractiveness. Then, she shares how to change those tattoos so women can discover and walk in their God-given true beauty and confidence.
Her first book, "Confessions of A Non-Barbie – A Real Girl's Guide to Finding Beauty and Pursuing Happily Ever-After," struck a chord with young women everywhere and has sold briskly in its first year of release.
Now working on her second book, Wilson wanted to bring her message to women and girls locally and to connect with a wider audience.
"I decided to hold this event free of charge because it's important that moms and daughters have the chance to hear and feel this message... that true beauty is so much more than what we've been taught, and sometimes so hard to hold onto," Wilson said.
