Red Cross Resources Stretched Thin, Immediate Needs in Oklahoma

Tulsa area wildfires destroy homes and businesses

TULSA - Many Oklahomans have been affected by the rash of wildfires in and around the Tulsa area in the past days. Homes lost, businesses lost, kids starting school with nothing at all. Red Cross resources have been stretched thin and there are immediate needs.
Here's some info on getting and giving help:

To get help
Those affected by the fires should call 918-831-1140 and leave their names and phone numbers where they can be reached so Red Cross volunteers can contact them and determine their needs.

To give help
The high number of fires during the past few weeks has diminished Red Cross resources, and officials are asking for financial donations to help support the ongoing disaster response.

People who wish to donate may do so at the Red Cross website, www.oklahomaredcross.com, or at 918-831-1170 with a credit card donation. Or people can mail checks to American Red Cross-Tulsa Area Chapter, Dept. 995, Tulsa, OK, 74182. Make checks payable to American Red Cross-Tulsa Area Chapter.
