Digitas Strengthens Leadership In Newly Opened San Francisco Office

Matt Jacobs, formerly of McCann Worldgroup, joins Digitas as SVP of Strategy and Analysis

Digitas, the leading global integrated brand agency with digital at its core, announces the appointment of Matt Jacobs, formerly of McCann Worldgroup, to lead strategy for the newly established Digitas San Francisco office.

Jacobs joins Digitas with over 15 years of experience in multichannel “life cycle” marketing, analysis, and experience design. Prior to Digitas, Jacobs was the founder and principal of Telegraphe Partners, a sales- and marketing-strategy consulting firm. Jacobs previously worked at Digitas’ NYC office from 2005 to 2008 overseeing global business accounts. He’s also held senior leadership positions at McCann Worldgroup, Adobe, and AvenueA/Razorfish.

“Everybody talks about the opportunities around Big Data, but it brings great challenges as well. Matt brings human context to complex data in order to craft a brand story that can be shared through multiple marketing channels,” says Doug Ryan, Managing Director, Digitas. “We are very excited for Matt’s return to Digitas. He is helping us build a West Coast office that will help fulfill our ambition to be our clients’ most valuable strategic marketing partner.”

Digitas San Francisco, located at 2001 The Embarcadero, is a full-service office that opened earlier this year, and most recently was appointed interactive agency for Taco Bell.
