The Chamberlin Supports the Community

Doing Good, for the Good of Others

“Treasure the Past and Live in the Moment.” For The Chamberlin, this is not simply a slogan, but the everyday belief of both residents and staff. Built on many values, The Chamberlin continues its tradition of supporting the local community during the Holiday Season and throughout the New Year.

This year The Chamberlin was honored to sponsor a local individual in need of assistance and support. Cheryl Brodis, former Chamberlin employee and local Hampton resident, endured a difficult and trying year. From the generosity of residents and staff, The Chamberlin was able to assist Brodis in paying bills, enjoying a holiday feast, and even celebrating the season with a few gifts. Brodis was the third individual/family whom The Chamberlin has sponsored, and certainly will not be its last!

On Monday, December 12, 2011 The Chamberlin was also delighted to host the Downtown Hampton Child Development Center for a Holiday Extravaganza! Residents were welcomed by roughly 30 children from the 3- and 4-year-old classes who sang carols, listened to stories read by residents, and even had the pleasure of meeting Saint Nick himself.

The Chamberlin not only celebrates the community during the Holiday Season, but also throughout the year.  By supporting organizations such as the local Peninsula Food Bank through ongoing in-house collections, as well as the National Alzheimer’s Association during its Memory Walk and Awareness Campaign; The Chamberlin, as modeled after its parent company Drucker and Falk, aims to educate, celebrate, and support the local community in order to keep Hampton Roads the treasure that it is today!
