First Command is a Proud Partner of the 2009 Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl

FORT WORTH, Texas – First Command Financial Services, Inc. is proud to be a “Commander in Chief” partner for the 2009 Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl, the only intercollegiate bowl game named in honor of America's military services.

Kicking off at 11 a.m. CT, December 31 in Fort Worth, Texas, the Armed Forces Bowl will feature the University of Houston and the U.S. Air Force Academy. The game will air on ESPN TV and ESPN Radio as well as the American Forces Network in 177 countries around the world and military installations across the United States.

The game and associated events will involve all five branches of the military, and will include the “Armed Forces Adventure” fanfest area, a showcase of military hardware, a flyover, a demonstration by an elite military skydiving team, a military band and honor guard, and the presentation of a “Great American Patriot Award” with on-field induction ceremonies at halftime.

Through underwriting by First Command and other corporate partners, all U.S. military active-duty, reserve and National Guard personnel are eligible for free tickets to the game, and all U.S. military veterans are eligible for half-price tickets. A portion of local ticket sales will be donated to military charities.
