Earth Mama Angel Baby® Receives Award for Women's Herbal Tea Line
Prestigious New Product Showcase Award at Expo East is given to best new product as voted by natural foods store buyers
12.01.2008 – CLACKAMAS, OREGON -- Earth Mama Angel Baby® (www.EarthMamaAngelBaby.com), manufacturer of the most complete line of natural and organic products for pregnancy, labor, postpartum, baby care and even baby loss, announces the re-launch of their complete line of teas, now in biodegradable tea bags and environmentally friendly packaging.
Tea bags signal a change toward ease for mothers already familiar with Earth Mama Angel Baby teas, since the USDA Certified 100% Organic herbal blends had previously been packed loose in recyclable PET plastic jars. In keeping with the company’s sustainability mission, tea bags were not an option until an earth-friendly bag and packaging could be found. Now packaged in 100% recycled/recyclable boxes, with 35% post-consumer recycled paper, the tea bags are biodegradable, and even the tea overwrap is completely compostable. The packaging is produced using wind energy and the teas are all Kosher certified by Earth Kosher.
Last week, the teas received the 6th Annual New Products Showcase Award (Herbal/Supplement category) at the Natural Products Expo East (www.expoeast.com). “I’m honored to receive the award,” said Melinda Olson, founder of Earth Mama Angel Baby. “Like all our products, the teas exemplify best in class ingredients and packaging. The herb blends are carefully chosen to support women’s unique needs during these critical times, as well as be safe and effective. They are also easier for busy mamas to use, which is important.”
Olson, who is a nurse, herbalist, and mother, adds that each of the USDA Certified 100% Organic herbal teas has been formulated for a specific use. There are four teas for use during pregnancy: Heartburn Tea, Peaceful Mama Tea, Morning Wellness Tea and Third Trimester Tea. There is also a Mama-To-Be Sampler box with each of the pregnancy teas included. Monthly Comfort Tea can be used postpartum or for menstruation, and Milkmaid Tea and No More Milk Tea are used for breastfeeding mothers and those who wish to wean.
