UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA & HOTEL INDIGO ATHENS ANNOUNCE GAMEDAY BROADCAST PARTNERSHIP
New broadcast location, extended schedule announced
08.20.2009 – ATHENS, GA - The University of Georgia Athletic Association has entered a partnership with Hotel Indigo Athens to serve as the football gameday broadcast location for the Georgia Bulldog Radio Network. Under the terms of the agreement, the hotel will be the new home of the Bulldog Gameday show and the Bulldog Post-Game Show during football season and the twenty-nine week Coaches Call-in Show during football and basketball season.
"Hotel Indigo Athens is extremely pleased to be a part of the Bulldog Gameday program with The University of Georgia Athletic Association. Our hotel lobby and 2000 square-foot outdoor courtyard will be an excellent venue for guests and local Athenians to watch the live radio shows, and get excited for our Bulldogs," says Barry Rutherford, Managing Partner of Rialto Property Partners.
The association brings fans closer to the action by broadcasting live from Athens rather than Atlanta, where shows were previously broadcast. During football season, a brand new hour of pre-game entertainment, 'The Bulldog Gameday Show", will air live from Hotel Indigo Athens during the first hour of pre-game programming. The football post-game show will also air for an hour to an hour and a half after the game ends.
Hotel Indigo Athens will also host the Coaches Call-In Show every week during football and basketball seasons. During football season, the Coach Richt Show will air live on Mondays, and the Coach Fox Show will air on Mondays during basketball season. During the first hour of the two-hour program, the coaches will take calls and discuss games. The second hour will be dedicated to general UGA sports news.
The broadcasts will be facilitated by ISP, the official media rights holder of the University of Georgia Athletic Association. Broadcasts will air on the Georgia Bulldog Radio Network, which has over 60 affiliates throughout the Southeast.
