GSNCA Elects New Board Members

08.25.2009 – The Girl Scouts North-Central Alabama elected the following Board Members and officers at the annual meeting held Saturday, August 22nd: President - Christina Ross of Cordova, Co-owner of R & S Resource Recovery; 1st Vice President - Charles Nash of Tuscaloosa, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at the University of Alabama; 2nd Vice President - Phyllis Davis of Birmingham, retired Business Development Director of Vulcan Materials, 3rd Vice President - Peggie Myles of Birmingham, Retired Guidance Counselor for the Jefferson County Board of Education; Secretary - Mary Jane Caylor of Huntsville, State Board of Education and Executive Director of Big Spring Partners, Inc.; and Treasurer - Gabe Hulbert of Anniston, Community Banker at Regions Bank.

New members elected to the board include Sally Barnett of Union Grove, Retired from Huntsville Public Library; Tony Cochran of Albertville, Owner of CK Business Solutions; Marcy Gregerson of Rainbow City, Director of Marketing and Sales at Regency Pointe; Patricia Hartley of Florence, Employee Relations Director at Bank Independent; Vicky Kirby of Fort Payne, Financial Advisor at Edward Jones Investments; Dr. Isabel Scarinci of Birmingham, Associate Professor of Preventive Medicine at UAB; and Julia Segars of Anniston, Vice President-Eastern Division at Alabama Power Company.

Continuing to serve on the GSNCA Board of Directors again for 2009-2010 are Leann Barr of Birmingham, Director of Human Resources Division of American Cast Iron Pipe Company; Neeysa Biddle of Birmingham, President/Chief Operating Officer of St. Vincent's Health System; Jean Caldwell of Centreville, Retired Fund Development Director; April Deal of Vestavia, Retired Vice President of Convention Sales for the Greater Birmingham Convention & Visitors Bureau; Juliette Doster of Anniston, Civic Leader; Virginia Gauld of Pell City, Retired Vice President of Student Affairs of the University of Alabama at Birmingham; Kingsley Harbor of Jacksonville, Department Head and Professor of Communications at Jacksonville State University; Steven Hobbs of Tuscaloosa, Law Professor at the University of Alabama; Tessa Hughes of Birmingham, Sr. Labor & Employment Counsel for Vulcan Materials Company; Jim Jolly of Attalla, Dean of Instructional Services at Gadsden State Community College; Holley LaGrone of Birmingham, Vice President of Energen Resources Corp.; Janet Kincherlow-Martin of Decatur, Executive Assistant to the President at Calhoun Community College; Susan Livingston of Birmingham, Attorney at Balch and Bingham LLC; Ann D.
