09.22.2009 – HOLLYWOOD, FLA. - The A.R.E. Design Awards, now in its 39th year, announces its call for entries. Retailers, designers and industry suppliers are invited to submit. Winners benefit from the most print, electronic, and onstage exposure in the industry -- not to mention the cachet of being an innovator in the field.

ENTRY CRITERIA
Retailers, designers, architects, and suppliers of store fixtures, visual presentations, wall treatments, in-store communications, flooring and lighting, and sustainable elements may submit projects completed between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2008. Entries will be judged by an industry panel of experts. Design Awards are based on excellence in design, originality in the use of space and fixtures, and quality in executing the concept; Sustainability Awards are based on sustainable innovation in design, integration and benchmarks.
AWARDS PRESENTED AT GLOBALSHOP 2010
Awards will be presented at the end of the first day of GlobalShop in Las Vegas. Top honors will be awarded to one Fixture of the Year, one Visual Presentation of the Year, one Store of the Year, and one Sustainable Project of the Year. Grand Prizes and Outstanding Merits will be designated in each store category, and multiple awards for various store elements will be recognized. The awards presentation and reception will take place Wednesday, March 10, 5-7 p.m.
