10.29.2009 – VICTOR, N.Y. -– Today, Auction Direct USA Used Vehicle Superstore officially opened its much anticipated used car retail store in Eastview Mall during a formal ribbon cutting ceremony. Auction Direct USA is revolutionizing the way customers can shop for and purchase used cars, as this innovative “virtual store” concept is the first of its kind in New York State.
“Our new mall store represents a major movement in the automotive retail segment,” said John Iannone, CEO of Auction Direct USA. “For the first time in New York State, shoppers can view used cars as they make their way through a mall. We created the most unique experience possible, encouraging customers to shop for used cars in a stress-free environment while gathering the key information they need to make an informed decision.”
The Eastview Mall retail store was designed with an open and relaxed auction atmosphere in mind. Shoppers visiting Auction Direct USA can independently research used cars on the numerous computer stations situated throughout the store. Resources and tools have been organized for fast and easy retrieval, including one-click access to auction retail inventory, third party research and automotive resources such as affordability and economy calculators.
New technology plays a big part in the shopper’s experience as well. Using an “Easy Touch” oversized storefront window computer screen, customers can “window shop” Auction Direct USA’s used car inventory before even entering the store. The store boasts an eye-catching 14-foot by 5-foot video display wall showcasing auction footage and vehicle test drive demos. Customers shopping with their children will be entertained in the kid’s area complete with couches and car-themed movies.
“We put a lot of thought into creating the best experience for our mall customers,” said Jillian Adams, GM of Auction Direct USA’s Eastview Mall store. “We’ve received such a positive response from our soft opening last week; we sold two cars in the first day.”

Auction Direct’s storefront is in the Sears wing, across from Build a Bear and is open from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., on Sunday.
