SENTRY SECURITY COMPLETES MERGER WITH ALARMS UNLIMITED
Merger makes Sentry Security 83rd largest security company in the Nation
11.03.2009 – Sentry Security, one of Chicago’s largest independent security companies, has joined forces with Alarms Unlimited. The combined company will operate under the Sentry Security name from the current Sentry offices in Wheeling, Ill. The Alarms unlimited transaction represents the seventh alarm company merger that Sentry has consummated in the last five years.
Established in 1972 by Ben Bland, Alarms Unlimited currently has approximately 1,700 residential and commercial monitoring customers which will now become part of Sentry Security’s client base. Ben will be working with David Balestrery, CEO of Sentry Security to provide a smooth transition for Alarms Unlimited Customers to Sentry Security.
In December 2008, SDM Magazine ranked Sentry Security #96 on a list of the 100 largest security companies nationwide. Adding in the additional business from Alarms Unlimited, Sentry will now be #83 (on a pro-forma basis) on that list.
