GPY&R Brisbane Head of TV and Electronic Production moves to Carbon Media

11.03.2009 – CARBON MEDIA ANNOUNCES NEW APPOINTMENT

Carbon Media has appointed Tamyson Scott as its Manager - Multi Media Production, to oversea the company’s move into production across all media platforms.

Ms Scott has moved from George Patterson Y&R where she was the Head of TV and Electronic Production in Brisbane. Ms Scott spent four and a half years at George Patterson Y&R working on high profile campaigns such as Suncorp’s rebranding of its banking business, and television and radio campaigns for Energex, Stockland Property, RSPCA, Electoral Commission of Queensland and Telstra.

Ms Scott will head up Carbon’s production team, taking over from Helen Morrison. She says the move to Carbon takes her back to her days at BMF in Sydney over 7 years ago where she learnt core production skills in a very fast growing creative environment.

“I see a lot of what I loved at BMF in Carbon - it allowed people the luxury of learning and growing. I am really returning to what I enjoyed at BMF, the thrill of a young creative company pitching above its weight.”

Carbon Media is a multi media production company, established in 2006. Carbon has created content for National Indigenous Television (NITV), the Queensland Government, ABC3, Arts Queensland, the Queensland Music Festival and the Queensland University of Technology.

Ms Scott says she hopes to take the company to the next level.

“Carbon is a young company that has grown so quickly and achieved so much, but the company is still a relatively undiscovered resource. There are many areas we can tap into nationally and internationally.”

Carbon Media managing director Wayne Denning says Tamyson brings a wealth of knowledge to the company, in particular campaigns across diverse audiences and platforms.

“We want Carbon Media to be at top of its game in multi platform production. Tamyson and our production team are going to do their best to ensure we are industry leaders,” Mr Denning said.
