11.19.2009 – Portland, OR Hoodman and Trek-Tech are introducing a new toolkit for macro photographers that makes positioning and stabilizing cameras for close up, macro photography quick and easy.

Sharp camera focus and flexible camera positioning to get low angle shots are critical to successful macro photography. The toolkit combines two essential macro photography tools, the Hoodman Right Angle Viewer and a Trek-Tech T-Pod table top tripod. The right angle viewer with 360° rotation gives photographers the flexibility to position a camera to get down and up close to the subject matter. The table-top tripod supports cameras with rock solid stability for sharp focus.

Get Down with the Hoodman Right Angle Viewer
Creative low angle shots are easy when you have Hoodman's Universal Right Angle Viewer. The eye piece rotates 360° making it easy to set up unique camera angles for creative shots. Built-in diopter adjustments with 1X and 2.5X capability make customizing the optics to suit your individual needs quick and easy.

The Hoodman Right Angle viewer fits all Canon, Nikon, and Fuji Digital SLR cameras. Four universal mounting attachments complete the kit so that it never becomes obsolete.

It comes with a compact, protective storage case included.

The Trek-Tech T-Pod: The Rock Solid Versatile Table Top Tripod
The T-Pod is very versatile and high quality table top tripod which comes complete with ball head, quick release system (MagMount STAR) and travel pouch. The T-Pod with the upper tube attached adjusts from 10" to 13.5" in height. The ball head may also be connected directly to the legs creating a very stable platform which is 4" high. In this configuration, the T-Pod will hold a large camera with very large lenses.

Louis-Albert Ducharme says:: a few questions 1-is a D3 with a nikon 200 macro or 105 macro will be stable.with te T pod and the magmount ball. And what about a 70-200 zomm f/2.8 to pick the far and low flower, etc. 2-what about the zigview live - a serious competitor? 3-and a lcd protector, any one to suggest that with permit the rigt angle to turn 360 or almost? 4-a focusing rail(s) to suggest, Prices have a very large brackets (100-700) see adorama, etc.

Scott Niesen says:: Louis - Albert: The T-Pod can handle the weight. We use the T-Pod with a Sigma 50-500mm lens to show off the stability with a heavy load. The D3 is a larger body camera…the ball head that is on the T-Pod will work, in a pinch, but it is built for speed, convenience, and DSLR’s more in the D300 range. The T-Pod is equipped with a standard ¼” 20 thread stud to accommodate different ball heads if needed. For regular use with the large body and big lens I would remove the MagMount Star Ball Head and replace it with a larger ball head.
