HONG KONG, Sept 9, 2008 — Gays.com Ltd ( http://gays.com ), the world's first GLBT social networking website that is designed for real people with real names and actual relationships today announced the launch of its open beta on Sept 10, 2008.
“Over a thousand enthusiastic users from around the world invited to take part in our 16-week closed beta tell us there is a strong demand for what we aim to develop — the world’s first real social network for the GLBT community — one that mirrors your real social environment and is not just another dating or personals website,” said public relations manager Kenneth Tan.
In contrast to the subscription-based model, which currently dominates the gay internet segment, Gays.com will be the first gay portal to offer members complete freedom to upload as many pictures and videos as they like at no charge. Users have complete control over their personal privacy with a wide range of settings, and can choose whether or not their mini-profile will be visible to non-members.
