Gerber’s Bear Grylls Survival Series™ Launches in October with the Ultimate Knife™
07.30.2010 – Gerber Legendary Blades, a leader in the design and development of premium quality knives, tools and gear, today announced a new strategic partnership with renowned adventurer Bear Grylls. The partnership will yield a co-branded collection of knives, tools and survival equipment under Gerber’s Bear Grylls Survival Series™ line of products.
An intrepid adventurer celebrated for his courage, savvy and engaging personality, Bear Grylls is best known for his work on the broadcast television hit Man vs. Wild. Grylls is a natural fit for the iconic Gerber brand, a company committed to bringing back the lost art of self-reliance. Gerber began crafting knives in 1939 and has since grown into one of the most trusted outdoor brands in the world.

Grylls is working directly with Gerber product development teams on new products, technical specs and key features of co-branded products. Gerber’s Bear Grylls Survival Series™ will launch in October 2010 with the Ultimate Knife™. The remainder of the first collection, including knives, tools and survival gear will be available to consumers beginning in February 2011.
