GSNCA Opens 2009 Summer Camp Registration

Each summer, thousands of children across Alabama attend summer camp to meet new friends and explore the great outdoors. This summer, your child could have the opportunity to explore and earn valuable leadership skills at one of the four summer camps ran by the Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama.

Each camp offers various activities such as canoeing, crafts, horseback riding and swimming that will let kids be themselves and explore different possibilities. Our summer camp locations include: Camp Coleman in Trussville, Camp Cottaquilla in Anniston, Kanawahala Program Center (KPC) in Chelsea, and Camp Trico in Guntersville. Both day camps and resident camps are available; resident camps are available only to girls, while day camps are available for girls and boys.

The experience children gain from camp is an experience of a lifetime. Camp activities are designed to provide opportunities to encounter new challenges, experience success, develop leadership, improve self-esteem, and build life skills. Plus, your child will gain friendships with others that will last for years to come!

Registration for the summer camps starts March 8th at all service centers, some camp offices and online. Not a Girl Scout? No worries! Each of our summer camps are open to those who are not girl scouts! Online registration is also available this year and will begin March 8th and have a $4.95 processing fee. See our website at www.girlscoutsnca.org/camps.php for more details on all registration methods.
