10 Turkeys, 28 Gifts, $1,200 and One Season of Sharing

Glass Doctor® of Raleigh Supports Ronald McDonald House® of Durham

During the holiday season, the Glass Doctor of Raleigh franchise, owned by Wayne Gaudette, donated more than $2,000 worth of contributions to families in need, as part of the company’s “Season of Sharing” campaign.

“We’re blessed to be able to help out families going through a difficult time,” said Lynn Sefranek of Glass Doctor of Raleigh. “This is a great way for us to give something back to the community during the holiday season.”

The full-service glass shop donated $2 to Ronald McDonald House of Durham for every order invoiced from Nov. 1 through Dec. 15, totaling a $1,292 donation.

Ronald McDonald House gives families of children receiving treatment at local hospitals a comfortable place to stay during a stressful time. Donations allow the House to focus on the most critical, day-to-day needs of the families of the children undergoing treatment.

The shop also sponsored a family of four through the Ronald McDonald House for Christmas. The shop bought the family’s Christmas presents, wrapped and tagged each gift, then dropped the 28 gifts off at the House. The donation was worth nearly $800.

Before that, for the Thanksgiving holiday, the shop bought and donated 10 turkeys to Ronald McDonald House of Durham and North Raleigh United Methodist Church.
