New Balance launched it's Custom Made in USA program back in April 2011, with the 574 being the very first customizable running shoe in the United States. They have now added the 993 to the mix, which along with the 574, is made at New Balance's Norridgewock, Maine facility.
“The New Balance Custom 993 enables you to be the designer and choose from premium material and color options to personalize your own iconic New Balance 993, a legendary style from New Balance,” says Steve Gardner, Strategic Business Unit Manager for New Balance Lifestyle. “Once you design your 993, our associates in Norridgewock will use their high quality craftsmanship to produce it for you.”
The new Custom 993 is available in twenty three colors and can customized in twenty different areas including the base, mesh, vamp, heel wrap and tongue. It can be personalized with up to eight characters per shoe and there are over 15 color choices for the embroidery thread.
Available now in both men's and women's sizes at New Balance for $174.95. Your customized 993 is shipped out within four to eight business days.
