Speakers on the roster included Josh Gunkel (Foresight Curator for Hallmark), Paul Isakson (Founder of Thinkers & Makers, former Director of Strategy for Space150, and 'charaded' as the original Don Draper on Twitter), Josh Catone (Features Editor of Mashable), Scott Berg (Director of Global Digital Strategy for HP), John Acidiacono (Senior VP of Marketing for Stewart Title), and Chris Ray (Senior Marketing Director at Money Management International).
With a diverse mix of maturity within the mobile and social spaces represented on the roster, speakers gave their insights, experiences, and projections for where things are today and where they are headed. "We were honored and excited to bring some of these voices to the Houston market, as many of them had never spoken here before," says Caesar Vielmas, SVP and Managing Director of IDEA. "Many of the stories and insights they shared were new to ears in the room, and we received many compliments and thanks for hosting MindShift," continued Vielmas.
From using social media in marketing research to the top 5 ways consumers use their mobile devices, attendees received great information to help develop or further their 2011 plans. Attendees included marketers from companies such as HP, Shell, Carraba's, and Waste Management, to name a few. After a successful event, plans for MindShift 2011 are under way. "We are looking forward to putting on an even better event next year while still keeping it intimate and relevant," Vielmas shared. As for the long-term future of MindShift, IDEA hopes to see it grow into a full-fledged digital conference attracting local, regional, and national audiences.
