This year’s program, CoDev ’11: Accessing Networks and Knowledge to Create Business Value, will bring together top innovation thought leaders and advanced practitioners across multiple industries.
“This year's program will not disappoint, we've put together a knock-out agenda with amazing keynote presentations and brand new case studies from Shell International, Microsoft, GlaxoSmithKline, Pepsico, ConocoPhillips, Tesco and more,” says Perkins.
Keynote presentations will include John Seely Brown, visiting scholar from the University of Southern California; Adriano Amaral, Co-founder and CEO of CETEB and POSEAD; Joseph DeStephano, Director of R&D at H.J. Heinz; Richard Friedrich, Director of the strategy and innovation office at HP Labs; and Thomas Lackner, Chief Technology Officer for the open innovation program at Siemens. These presentations will offer new perspectives on the key factors needed to achieve external innovation success, the breadth and scope of open innovation in large organizations as well as what the future holds for next steps in getting more value from your open innovation efforts.
Perkins and Innovationedge team members Patrick Clusman, Director of Innovation Capabilities Development, and Jeff Lindsay, Director of Solution Development, will be hosting a half-day pre-conference workshop from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 24 titled “Building the Open Innovation Pyramid™”. During the session, Perkins, Clusman and Lindsay will discuss the components of the Open Innovation Pyramid™ by reviewing case studies and facilitating exercises.
The conference will also include a new fireside chat session, facilitated by Perkins with panelists from Colgate-Palmolive, Clorox and Kraft Foods. This fast-paced session will include insight on topics such as changes in organization structures, the evolving corporate culture and collaborating with potential competitors.
“Leaders that are actual pioneers in open innovation, have real case examples to share, and are looking to exchange ideas and concepts to further the general knowledge about open innovation and work together to see where the next generation of open innovation can take us,” says Perkins.
