Acton School of Business Selects Intelliworks to Enhance Recruitment

Entrepreneurial Business School to use software-as-a-service CRM for Managing Marketing Campaigns

Bethesda, MD – Intelliworks, Inc., a leading provider of relationship management solutions for higher education, today announced that the Acton School of Business will be leveraging the Intelliworks CRM platform to enhance its recruitment marketing and admissions efforts.

The Acton School of Business, founded in 2003, offers an accelerated one-year MBA in Entrepreneurship. Although the school is relatively new, it has already begun to make a name for itself; Acton was recently ranked by The Princeton Review as having some of the top classes, professors and students, placing the school in the company of well-established Ivy League programs.

As an emerging program experiencing tremendous growth, Acton saw an opportunity to use technology to help manage their enrollment and deliver the right kinds of students to their program. “Since our program is so specialized, we’ve been experimenting with different channels to reach our target audience,” said Susie Hall, Director of Outreach and Enrollment at Acton. “Our main recruitment challenge is to reach out to specific groups of prospective students who will be interested in and excel at Acton MBA. We needed a quantifiable way to identify the most effective tactics.”

Not only did Acton need a way to report on their marketing efforts, they also wanted to consolidate their CRM and application management system in order to streamline their online admissions processes. With Intelliworks they will now be able to accept online applications that are integrated in real time with their CRM.

“We selected Intelliworks because we wanted all of our systems to be able to ‘talk’ to each other. Intelliworks will allow us to better serve our students by providing us with the tools to identify and qualify candidates more easily, respond to student inquiries, and process applications more quickly,” added Hall.
“Many programs have trouble reaching and identifying their target audience. Intelliworks can help schools like Acton determine the return on investment for their marketing campaigns and find the most efficient ways to increase the quality of their applicant pool,” said Intelliworks CEO, Todd Gibby.

About The Acton School of Business
The Acton School of Business, located in Austin, Texas, is a one-year MBA in Entrepreneurship program taught exclusively by successful, practicing entrepreneurs. The program is based entirely on experiential learning, featuring intensive 90-hour work weeks where students stand in the shoes of the entrepreneur in over 300 case studies, run real assembly lines and must sell products door to door in order to graduate. The student-faculty ratio is lower than any MBA program in the country, allowing students to develop strong bonds with their entrepreneur-teachers. The Princeton Review has ranked Acton’s teachers among the top five MBA faculties in the country for the past 4 year and rates Acton as one of the “Best Classroom Experiences” in the nation.
