Washington, DC, August 17, 2012 – Latinos in Social Media (LATISM) is proud to announce the addition of three new chapters to their roster, for a total of 15 chapters nationwide. The new chapters are San Antonio, TX, Austin, TX and Cincinnati, OH. The organization also announced a change in leadership at two existing chapters existing chapters, Chicago, IL and Los Angeles, CA, in order to better serve these areas.
The launch of the local chapters will continue to help LATISM to achieve its goal of creating local presence in all mayor Latino DMAs across the country and will help to support LATISM National’s initiatives nationwide by creating education and networking opportunities in these markets. Existing chapters include Central Florida, FL; Houston, TX; Washington, DC; Philadelphia, PA; Chicago, IL; New York, NY; Dallas, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Charlotte, NC; South Florida, FL; Bay Area, CA and Los Angeles, CA.

“We couldn’t be more proud of our LATISM community, specially the new chapters,” says Ana Roca-Castro, Founder and Chair for LATISM. “We have always aimed to build a pipeline for Latino leaders, and this is a great opportunity for the directors to show their leadership skills and pass-on our LATISM mission and community commitment to their local networks.”
