White House | Black Market Outlet Announced for Legends Outlets Kansas City

May 2012 Opening Planned

Kansas City, Kan. (February 24, 2012) – OTB Destination, LLC announced today that the area’s first White House | Black Market Outlet boutique will open at Legends Outlets Kansas City in May 2012. The women’s retailer will offer a collection of apparel, accessories, and shoes in their signature palette of white and black designed specifically for the outlet boutique, while offering a select assortment of product from their full-price boutiques as well. The White House | Black Market Outlet boutique will occupy an overall square footage of 2,955 next to Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH.

In 2011, Legends Outlets Kansas City continued its ongoing commitment to transform the shopping landscape in Kansas City by creating a top designer outlet destination with 14 outlet additions and concept transitions, including Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, J.Crew | Crewcuts, Under Armour®, Chico’s Outlet, Soma Intimates Outlet, LOFT Outlet, Christopher & Banks/CJ Banks Outlet, Sunglass Hut, Zales Outlet, American Eagle Outfitters – Off Campus, Charming Charlie, Old Navy Outlet and other leading brands.  Ending 2011 strong, December saw a significant amplification in sales, outperforming 2010 by 14 percent during the busy holiday shopping month. Already, in 2012, Legends Outlets has announced the addition of locally owned and operated Chiusano's Brick Oven Pizzeria, as well as announcements of Uniform Destination and Dress Barn opening in March 2012. 

Ending 2011 strong, December saw a significant amplification in sales, outperforming 2010 by 14 percent during the busy holiday shopping month. The 2011 performance is attributed, in part, to an aggressive leasing strategy by OTB Destinations, the Park City, Utah-based leasing company for Legends Outlets.

Shopping Technology –Legends Outlets continues to add and grow shopping perks and new shopper-focused marketing initiatives surrounding technology and digital formats that in 2012 that enables shoppers to find fashion deals, share tips and find perks at their finger tips and online, including:  

  • Mobile App: The new Legends Outlets mobile app, available on the iPhone and Android operating systems, has updates planned in 2012 and will continue to offer links to discounts and store information with shopping and dining district map, along with merchant addresses, phone numbers and websites. The mobile app incorporates the ability to find information on Legends Outlets gift card balances and transactions. and access a Legends Outlets.
  • Text Program: Introduced during the holidays, Legends Outlets Kansas City will enhance its text messaging program to share regular news, deals, contests, and events. The new program will integrate with social and traditional media.   
  • QR Code: Throughout Legends Outlets, shoppers can find and access a QR code that links directly to Legends Outlets “Hot Deals” website page featuring the latest specials and coupons available for the day.
  • Text – Valet Service – Legends Outlets continues to offer weekend valet service for $5.00 per vehicle.  At the end of their shopping and dining experience, visitors are able to text the service for a convenient and immediate vehicle delivery. 
  • Frugal Fashion VIP Program:  Legends Outlets will continue to grow its VIP program as the Frugal Fashion program, available for shoppers to sign up and receive regular fashion savings tips and news for the designer brands.
