Houston, TX (June 13, 2012) – National Lemonade Day founder will speak at the lemonade and bake sale rally that will be hosted by television and radio personality Glenn Beck. National Lemonade Day is a free, experiential learning program dedicated to teaching children from ages 3 to 18, how to start, own and operate their own business, through the simple and time-honored act of running a lemonade stand. The purpose of Lemonade Day is to allow youth to experience the step-by-step process of running a business, to prepare them for any professional path they will take in the future. Since Mr. Beck is encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit in youth across the country at his rally, Lemonade Day is happy to share their own experience of how its organization has seen lemonade stands inspire their hundreds of thousands of Lemonade Day participants around the country each year.
“We support any endeavor that points youth back to the basics—and in this case, to the lemonade stand—to find and experience the elements for business success. Glenn Beck shares our passion for inspiring youth entrpreneurs,” said Michael Holthouse, Founder of Prepared 4 Life and Lemonade Day.
Glenn Beck’s Lemonade Stand and Bake Sale Hug-A-Thon Day will be held at Babe’s Chicken Dinner House in Dallas, TX at 4PM on June 13, 2012. Michael Holthouse will join Glenn Beck’s stand on site to enoucourage youth learning entrepreneurship through a lemonade stand. Lemonade Day has made available the business plan on their website LemonadeDay.org and encourage youth and adults participating in Glenn Beck’s Lemonade Stand Day to download it so they can make the most of their lemonade stand on Wednesday and year round.

About Lemonade Day
Lemonade Day is a project of Prepared 4 Life, a non-profit that provides fun, proactive and experiential programs infused with life skills, character education and entrepreneurship. Lemonade Day was born in Houston in 2007, and was inspired by the lessons local entrepreneur and philanthropist, Michael Holthouse, taught his young daughter and her friend when they set-up their own lemonade stand. Since then it has grown to a nationwide program, with over 150,000 kids registered in 36 communities this year.
