General Manager Ian Campbell comments, “Incorporeal beings and historic buildings go together like Osso Bucco and Barolo,” and Campbell is among many of the Log Haven staff who have witnessed ghostly goings-on in the 90 year old log mansion.Among the ethereal apparitions that are said to frequent the restaurant are L.F. Rains, Log Haven’s founder and owner of a ghost town outside of Helper. Other sightings include a man dressed in chef’s whites, a tall bearded man with a hat, a small child and a woman in vintage dress. There’s even a story about a ghost giving a server a wedgie as she bent over.
Reservations for “Haunted Haven” are recommended and can be made at 801 272 8255 or at www.log-haven.com/reservations. Guests are encouraged to come costumed as their favorite ghoul or spirit.
Who knows what new spectral sightings the weekend will bring?
