MARYLAND DEMOCRATIC PARTY LAUNCHES BLOG

Blog titled "The OnLine State: Where Maryland Democrats Go Online"

The Maryland Democratic Party has officially launched its new blog - "The OnLine State (www.theonlinestate.com)."

After only three weeks the blog already has 80 subscribers, according to FeedBurner statistics.

Readers can subscribe to the blog via e-mail updates or through an RSS feed here: http://feeds.feedburner.com/theonlinestate

Currently blog post authors include Maryland Democratic Party Chair Susan Turnbull and New Media Director Isaac Salazar. The blog will likely include guest blog posts from other Maryland Democrats as it develops.

"We understand that on the social web, blogs and social media are about a conversation. To that end we want to create a space for Democrats to blog and comment knowing that there will always be some Democrats who may not agree with everything we say or do. Nevertheless, we hope that 'The OnLine State' serves as a place for Maryland Democrats to participate in the online conversation," said New Media Director Isaac Salazar.
