Annapolis, MD (January 14, 2010) - The Maryland Democratic Party will show financial strength in its January 2010 report. The report will show that the Democrats will have more than $903,000 in the bank.

“We pushed very hard in 2009 knowing that 2010 is a key election year for all of Maryland's Democrats. We knew hard work in the off year would put us in a great position as we implement a strong and united campaign in 2010," said Susan W. Turnbull, Chair of the Maryland Democratic Party.

Maryland's top Democrat, Governor Martin O'Malley, is also gearing up his campaign for 2010. The Governor has raised over $4.78 million, and has more than $5.72 million cash on hand.
