ShoDocs.com will serve as the gateway for SHO’s online physician recruitment efforts and enables the organization to better reach physician candidates through website features such as live chat and online resume submission. The site also includes social media sharing buttons to allow prospects to share information with other job seekers and colleagues. Video interviews with current staff show potential candidates what it’s really like to be a member of a SHO hospital, an essential differentiator in the recruitment process. These rich features helped ShoDocs.com win a Best in Class award for the Recruitment category in the Interactive Media Awards, announced last week. The site was recognized with a perfect score for content and near perfect scores for both design and feature functionality. The Best in Class award is bestowed to websites that have achieved the highest level of excellence in all criteria.
MedTouch conducted surveys of SHO’s recently hired medical staff to better understand why a candidate would select a practice opportunity in the SHO network. Responses gathered demonstrated SHO’s strong culture and values were the most important reasons candidates chose positions with the network. Physicians also indicated that geographic location of the workplace was important to them. As a result, MedTouch and SHO developed an interactive flash map to pinpoint locations of open practice opportunities and individual microsites for each affiliate to address the needs of their audience.
Each microsite highlights the holistic hospital experience via: candid videos of current physician staff; handpicked “local favorites,” and information about the local area, such as top historical sites, restaurants and cultural offerings; and patient testimonials. These personal touches distinguish SHO affiliates from other organizations and further support the culture at SHO.
“Our new website better speaks to our prospective audience by aligning the web presence with that of the offline recruitment experience and by capturing the tone of our brand as well” said Tom Farrington, FASPR, Manager of Physician Recruitment at Suburban Health Organization. “Physicians working for our hospitals tell us they choose our organization for its professionalism, prompt responses, and above and beyond treatment throughout the hiring process. With the launch, SHO hopes to extend that impression online as well.”
To draw traffic to the SHO website and strengthen campaign effectiveness, MedTouch is also providing additional interactive marketing services and strategy for SHO, including social media, strategic search engine marketing recommendations, and pay per click advertising.
