DENVER – Mercy Housing joined the ranks of some of the best affordable housing developers and owners in the United States, when it made Affordable Housing Finance Magazine’s lists of Top 50 Affordable Housing Developers and Top 50 Affordable Housing Owners in 2011. U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Shaun Donovan today visited Chicago and toured the historic Pullman Wheelworks, a newly purchased 210-unit affordable housing building on Chicago's south side. Mercy Housing Lakefront and National Housing Trust/Enterprise Preservation Corporation (NHT/E) hosted the tour to highlight the latest preservation strategies they are employing together to address the region's affordable housing crisis.
Mercy Housing Lakefront receives $125,000 from Grand Victoria Foundation
Grant will be used to continue affordable housing work in Illinois’ Kane and Kankakee Counties
CHICAGO—Mercy Housing Lakefront will now be able to continue their work of creating and preserving affordable housing opportunities in areas outside of Chicago – particularly in Kane and Kankakee Counties—thanks to a $125,000 grant from Grand Victoria Foundation.
