Dot Mil Docs, MHS Podcast, Celebrates 100th Episode!

Dot Mil Docs, the Military Health System’s official podcast, celebrates it’s 100th episode this week. This special edition episode will kick off March’s Brain Injury Awareness Month with an interview with Dr. James Kelly, one of America’s top experts on treating concussions.

A neurologist, Dr. Kelly is director of the new National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE), a DoD center that will research, diagnose and treat members of the military, focusing on psychological health and traumatic brain injury. Scheduled to open in spring 2010, NICoE is a component center of the Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury.

Dot Mil Docs is a weekly audio podcast that features military medical professionals and other military health experts from across the DoD. Since its launch in May 2008, the program has been downloaded or listened to over 108,000 times. The program upholds the Military Health System’s commitment to connecting with service members, beneficiaries, veterans and their families through social media outreach.
