Stay Healthy, Stay Strong: June Is Men’s Health Month

The Military Health System recognizes June as Men’s Health Month and has established a page containing links to men’s health resources and other relevant information at www.health.mil/menshealth.

Throughout the month, the MHS website will highlight men’s health issues, raise awareness of preventable health problems, and encourage early detection and treatment of diseases.

Specific men’s health topics featured on health.mil will include fitness, nutrition and prostate cancer. Blogs will discuss heart health, fitness and smoking cessation. On Dot Mil Docs, the MHS’s official podcast, men’s health experts from across the field will discuss virtual technology for psychological health, staying aware of colorectal cancer, electronic health records specific to men’s health issues, and staying fit for duty.

The MHS has also created Father’s Day e-Cards. Remind the men in your life how important their health is by visiting www.health.mil/menshealth and following the link to Flickr.

This June, remember: Stay Healthy, Stay Strong. Visit www.health.mil/menshealth for more information.
