• Stan Herd, the preeminent representational earthworks artist in the world, is being featured in a new advertising campaign for John Deere entitled “What Will You Create?”
• The spot chronicles Herd’s creation of a half-acre piece entitled Abstract, created from various kinds of mulch, soil amendments and plantings on land located just north of Lawrence, Kansas.
• Stan Herd pioneered the art form of creating images of people, landscapes and brands by digging, disking, plowing and otherwise manipulating acres of green space.
• For three decades, Herd has used John Deere tractors and other products to create massive earthworks and crop art around the world.
