Sony Ericsson Txt Pro Review

Sony Ericsson Txt Pro. The small budget texting & multi-media messaging phone from Sony this 3rd Quarter

The Sony Ericsson Txt Pro is an entry level social networking & messaging phone which uses Sony’s own Operating System A200 with the Sony Android like 4 corner U.I. system that enables the user to keep their favourite functions at fingers length on the home screen. As well as being controlled by the same 3 inch touch screen as the Sony Mix Walkman phone with 240 × 400 pixel TFT the Sony Ericsson Txt Pro has the added feature of a full 4 row QWERTY keyboard. This enables rapid control of ones online social networks along with the added advantage of being wrapped in a device that only weighs in at 100 grams. So this begs the question “Is this a Super-Mini?” you can make up your own mind through the course of this Sony Ericsson Txt Pro.

For the best part all the software features of the Sony Ericsson Txt Pro are the same as the Sony Mix Walkman. Twitter & Facebook are included and are also integrated into the functionality of the 3.2 MP camera allowing for the instant upload of photos and videos to these two sites. For those of you that like a little surfing there is also the same Obigo 7 browser in the Sony Ericsson Txt Pro as in the Mix Walkman which supports the basic HTML protocols.

To make full use of the QWERTY keyboard the Sony Ericsson Txt Pro has on board Google Talk for a MSN style chat experience straight from your mobile device. If this all seems likely to cause the rapid consumption of your Data Plan there is Wi-Fi support to save you money when you are in range of a wireless hotspot or your home network.

There is a feature on the Sony Ericsson Txt Pro that the Sony Mix Pro doesn’t have and that is the ability integrate the accounts of your 5 best friends so you can see at a glance their social stream right from your homepage without having to log into each account, thus keeping your finger on the pulse of what is going on in the world of your 5 most important people.

On the other hand the Sony Ericsson Txt Pro doesn’t have the inbuilt Walkman feature of the Sony Mix Walkman but it does contain Sony Ericsson’s music player which makes it possible to organise your music in the traditional Track, Artist, Album manner to which any MP3 user is accustom to. There is ClearStereo also included for better stereo separation thus better sound quality through whichever headphone you choose to use with the 3.5mm jack.

We at mobile phone reviews think that out of the two low budget offerings from Sony this year that the Sony Ericsson Txt Pro is the one to go for as we believe that the features include are going to be more useful than the gimmicks in the Sony Mix Walkman and we also don’t think that the quality in sound is going to be so significantly different as to completely separate the decision making.
