10.28.2009 – DALLAS – Mockingbird Station, the pioneer of mixed-use, transit-oriented developments in North Texas, is inviting the community to “Get Gifted at the Station” again this holiday season as it debuts an enhanced slate of holiday activities.
Kicking off Nov. 2, Mockingbird Station patrons can take advantage of myriad discounts and activities every weeknight, 5-9 p.m. In addition to expanding complimentary valet service Monday-Friday (5-9 p.m.) during the holidays, the Station will have special nightly offers at retailers like Movida, Paperie & Co., and West Elm, when shoppers mention “Get Gifted” or “Deals & Discounts.” Participating restaurants such as Rockfish, Urban Taco, and Vapiano also will offer happy hour specials until 9 p.m.
Moreover, Mockingbird Station will introduce a new event to the holiday line-up this year: Cause for Celebration, a variety of fun, community-oriented events every Wednesday evening during the holidays (except Thanksgiving eve), each one open to the public and benefitting a different local charity.
“The idea behind our weekly Cause for Celebration events is to support and help raise funds for these local charities, while also providing a fun event for our shoppers to take part in,” said Pam Baker, general manager of Mockingbird Station. “Any way that we can give back to our community while providing value for our customers is a win/win.”
In addition to deals and discounts, holiday happy hour, and nightly valet, Mockingbird Station also is bringing back its branded re-usable shopping bags. Shoppers will receive these bags, filled with offers from Station retailers and restaurants as well as information about the holiday program, at various locations around Mockingbird Station.
